Southwest Crockett Co. along the Pecos River and Northwest corner of Val Verde Co. Approximately 55 miles southwest of Ozona, Texas.
Terrain
Rugged with deep canyons and bluffs along the river.
Climate
Dry-arid
The Trans-Pecos is on the edge of the Chihuahua Desert and does not get a lot of rain, usually from 10 to 12 inches a year. Sometimes it does not rain for nearly a year at a time.
This makes good goat country, but it is not well suited for other types of livestock, although we do raise some sheep and cattle. We also raise our own horses and mules for rounding up our livestock.
